Miller's Homestead preliminary plat approved

DUVALL--The preliminary plat for a new 75-lot subdivision was approved by the Duvall City Council at their Oct. 14 meeting.

The 25-acre subdivision, known as Miller's Homestead, is located on 275th Avenue across the street from 150th Street, bordering 150th Street on the western side and connecting on the south side with Miller Avenue, currently a dead-end street.

Three SEPA appeals were filed regarding the two wetland areas located on the property and one class 3 stream running through the property, City Planner Eric Jensen told the council.

This preliminary plat proposes a 25-foot buffer along the class 3 stream and a 15-foot with oak fencing surrounding the wetland areas. The preliminary plat was passed by all council members, excluding Neal Coy, who could not vote on the issue due to his partial ownership of Miller's Homestead.
