Dancers, musicians, jugglers entertain children at SAM

The Seattle Art Museum (SAM) will be abuzz with giggles and tiny footsteps at the second annual Children's Gala, which will be held Nov. 8 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

On this elegant fall evening, SAM staff will focus exclusively on helping children experience and enjoy the museum's resources. Activities, food, and entertainment throughout the museum will be geared toward visitors between the ages of two and 12 who are accompanied by parents, aunts and uncles, or grandparents.

Proceeds from the Children's Gala make possible children's education programs and support the Museum's collections and conservation efforts.

During the Children's Gala, the museum will offer a variety of hands-on activities. Dancers, musicians, jugglers, and other entertainers will delight visitors, both young and old, throughout the gala, while the Tickle Toon Typhoon, the celebrated music and dance ensemble, will highlight the evening.

Ticket prices include all activities, music, hors d'oeuvres, and entertainment, and are $25 for children and $75 for adults. For event information or tickets, call (206) 654-3122.
