Students from the Northshore area have parts in Bellevue Christian School's production of Rogers and Hammerstein's The Sound of Music.
Mack Elementary third grader Brittanie Vader Weide (Woodinville) is double-cast with Three Points Elementary student Janelle Abbott (Kenmore) as Marta Von Trapp. The two will share the role and divide performances. Carnation resident and Clyde Hill campus eighth grader Rhett Foster has the role of Friedrich Von Trapp, and Three Points third grader Ally Faw of Woodinville plays Gretl.
The play is the first musical undertaking by the school that has incorporated students from all three Bellevue Christian campuses.
Performances will be Nov. 12, 13, 19, 20, and 22 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 13 at 2 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 21, at 3 p.m. at the Bellevue Christian Junior/Senior Campus Green Center Commons, 1601 98th NE on Bellevue's Clyde Hill.
Tickets will be sold at the door and are $8 for adults; $5 for students and seniors; $25 for families. Special group sales are available for advance purchase. For information, call (425) 454-4028.
The cast is encouraging donations of canned goods and non-perishables at the door to be given to a local food bank for Thanksgiving.
