Obituary: Lola D. Canady

   Lola D. Canady, of Carnation, passed away at the age of 68 at home on Friday, Oct. 22, 1999. At her request, no services will be held.

   Mrs. Canady was born on April 2, 1931, in Oakland, California, the daughter of Ermel and Lora Hipkins. She attended the University of California at Davis. She worked for United Airlines for a number of years as a stewardess prior to her marriage to Kenneth L. Canady on July 7, 1956, in Cupertino, California. She and her husband moved to Seattle in 1958, where she raised their four children in the Bellevue area. In 1972, they moved to Carnation.

   Mrs. Canady enjoyed filling her days with beautiful craft projects which she generously gave to her family and friends. She also supported the local fire district in whatever capacity they needed, and she was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking.

   Mrs. Canady is survived by her husband Kenneth; sons Kimberly, Kerry, and David, all of Carnation; daughter Tracy Canady Peck, Carnation; Dick and Teri Breitenbach, also of Carnation, and 12 grandchildren.

   The family suggests remembrances to the American Cancer Society or Rainbow Youth and Family Services, 1606 East 31st St., Tacoma, WA 98404-4911. Arrangements are under the direction of Flintoff's Issaquah Funeral Home.
