Police Beat

Woodinville

Oct. 27: A 46-year-old male Snohomish County resident was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, including hypodermic needles (three used and seven unused). Woodinville police were tipped that the man was driving south toward the city. He had five outstanding warrants, including one for driving with a suspended license issued for eight failures to appear in court. Traces of meth were found on the paraphernalia.

Oct. 30: A 76-year-old male resident of Brittany Park reported that $100 in cash was missing from under a book on his nightstand. The loss occurred between Oct. 26 and Oct. 30.

Nov. 1: An 83-year-old female Brittany Park resident reported several jewelry items missing from her dresser drawer and from a locked cabinet. First she noticed the cabinet's key was missing from its dresser drawer location; she used a spare key to open the cabinet, found the missing jewels there, then found others missing in the drawer. Police found no clear fingerprints. Finding the thief might be difficult, since many staff members have access to all apartments at the complex, police said.
