Santa pictures at Monte Villa

   A Picture of Santa photo shoot to benefit local food banks will be held on Sunday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Monte Villa Farmhouse, 3300 Monte Villa Parkway in Bothell. There will be a suggested donation of $5 per child, although families who cannot afford the donation need not pay. Call 485-6115 for information.

Parenting class at Evergreen

   Evergreen Hospital Medical Center will offer their Pondering Parenthood class on Tuesday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m. There is no charge for the class. Couples contemplating pregnancy and parenthood are invited to join specialists to discuss lifestyle changes to expect, how to get healthy for pregnancy, selecting a doctor or midwife, and what to look for in a childbirth center. Holiday History Market

   The third annual Holiday History Market will be held at the Museum of History and Industry from 10 a.m. to 5p.m. on Nov. 27. The best in local and regional history publications, videos, CD-ROMS, crafts, calendars, stationery, and other items will be available from participating heritage organizations. Also, the Museum's innovative Pacific Northwest History Book Club will focus on a number of regional authors. 'Tis the Season for Giving

   The Snohomish County Visitor Information Centers are offering a give-and-take relationship with the public during this holiday season. Until Dec. 21, the Visitor Information Centers are accepting toys and warm clothing for the local Christmas House Program, and non-perishable food for the Snohomish County Food Bank. The Christmas House is requesting new and "almost new" toys and warm clothing for people of all ages. The Snohomish County Food Bank suggests donating non-perishable foods, as well as diapers, holiday items, and miscellaneous paper goods, soap, and detergent.
