Girl Scouts paint holiday windows

Girl Scout Troop 410 braved the rain and cold to paint the windows at Papa Murphy's.

Woodinville Girl Scouts are painting windows at downtown locations, helping to get everyone in the holiday spirit.

Eleven troops (Numbers 410, 465, 818, 993, 1044, 1381, 1390, 1726, 1766, 3209, and 3227) are scheduled to spread their cheer by painting merchants' windows with holiday scenes. The scenes are designed by the scout troops and painted free of charge to the merchants. Kim Meucci made the arrangements this year and matched up the troops with merchants.

Troop 410 was out in the rain on Saturday, Nov. 28, getting cold and wet while doing the painting. It was so wet, the paint got too thin and sometimes ran down the window. But with some fresh paint, the scouts finished their window.

Look for the colorful window displays in coming days as you visit the Cold Stone Creamery, Woodinville Athletic Club, Post Net, Games Plus, Sno-Wood Veterinary, Woodinville Weekly, QFC, Papa Murphy's, De Young's, and Round Table.
