Tolt Congregational invites community to share gifts

   All community members are invited to a very special "Manger Sunday" worship service on December 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Tolt Congregational Church. A manger will be set up in the chapel and everyone is invited to bring gifts, foodstuffs, or cash donations to fill the manger during the service. Everything received will be donated to Hopelink (formally the Multi-Service Centers) for their Christmas giving program in the Snoqualmie Valley.

CHS Community Holiday Dinner & Auction, Dec. 11

   CHS PTSA will hold their 1st Annual Community Holiday Dinner and Auction on December 11 at Cedarcrest High School from 5-9 p.m. "Putting on the Glitz" highlights include dinner, portraits, holiday shopping, free child care, live entertaintment, and auction. The dinner is $7 per adult and $5 for children under 5th grade. The CHS Concert Band, Concert Choir, Jazz Band, and Jazz Choir will provide entertainment. The goal is to raise $30,000. Boshaw appointed to board

   Phillip A. Boshaw of Duvall was appointed to Lake Washington Technical College's Board of Trustees. Boshaw is the founder of PAC National. His term expires September 30, 2004.

Issac to perform

   Pumps & Grinds will present singer/songwriter "Issac" on December 11, 7-9 p.m. Pumps & Grinds is located next to Bank of America in Duvall.

Holiday Open House

   Duvall Chamber of Commerce will hold a Holiday Open House, December 9, 4:30-7:00 p.m. at Fit Happens, located above Charlie's Pizza.

Citizen of the Year

   The Duvall Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for Citizen of the Year. Nominations may be sent to P.O. Box 581, Duvall, WA 98019, attention Margie Coy, by the middle of December.

Holiday Trees

   Fresh Christmas trees, wreaths, and poinsettas are now on sale at Stillwater Hill Community Church, 32111 NE Big Rock Road, M-F 6-8:30 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-8 p.m., and Sunday 3-6 p.m., to benefit the Royal Rangers & Missionettes, which are Action and Adventure programs for girls and boys, offering clubs from pre-school through high school. On Sat., January 9, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., you can recycle your Christmas tree by dropping it off at the church. Donations will benefit the Royal Rangers' camping supplies.

Nominate students for PAT program

   Riverview School District's Program for the Academically Talented (PAT) is currently seeking nominations for the 2000-2001 school year. Anyone interested in nominating a child should immediately request a nomination packet from his or her child's elementary school office. The nomination forms need to be returned to the school office by Friday, Dec. 17. No late nominations will be accepted. All nominated 1st-4th graders will be tested at Carnation Elementary School from 9:30-noon on Saturday, Jan. 8 and 22. Students must attend both test sessions. Indoor playground calendar

   The indoor playground at the Duvall Family Center will be open every Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for children under five and their parents or caregiver. The playground is a cooperative effort where parents and children work together to set up and clean up toys. Cost is $1 per child. The center is located at the intersection of SR-203 and W-D Road.
