Miss East King County Scholarship Program

   The Miss East King County Scholarship Program is currently accepting applications for the 2000 Miss King County Scholarship Pageant, an official local preliminary to the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The pageant will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2000, at the Woodinville High School auditorium.

   The new Miss East King County receives a cash scholarship and various prizes, and will represent the area in the Miss Washington Pageant in Tacoma in July 2000. The state winner then competes with titleholders from the other 49 states and the District of Columbia in the Miss America Pageant, which will be televised live on ABC-TV on October 7, 2000.

   The scholarship program is open to all unmarried woman ages 17-24 that live, work, or go to school on the greater Eastside of King County. All contestants must be high school graduates by June 2000, and not older than 24 in September 2000. Application deadline: January 12, 2000.
