Swing dance classes

   Swing dance classes with George and Betsy will be held at Carnation Elementary School in the multi-purpose room for five Friday evenings starting on Jan. 14. Snoqualmie Watershed Forum meets

   The Snoqualmie Watershed Forum will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 7 p.m., at the Carnation City Hall. All meetings are open to the public. Agenda items include: Potential challenges and issues, information on discussions with National Marine Fisheries Service on salmon recovery, future funding for flooding, fish habitat and water quality projects, and the role of the Forum in making decisions about project priorities. Quarry meeting set

   Residents can learn more about the proposed Duvall rock quarry at a meeting with SEPA officials on Jan. 11, 7 p.m., in the gym at Cherry Valley Elementary. Residents are encouraged to attend.

Seats available for Herbfarm New Year's Eve dinner

   Twelve seats remain available for an 11-course dinner, featuring wines from three centuries, on New Year's Eve at The Herbfarm restaurant at Hedges Cellar in Issaquah. Cost is $1,250 per person, plus tax and service. For reservations, call 206-784-2222.

'Package deal' for Christmas delivery

   Valley Mailbox, a Neighborhood Postal Center, is offering Christmas day guaranteed, money back delivery commitments of parcels for air shipments using UPS service. Susan Aaron, of Valley Mailbox, says parcels may be shipped as late as Wednesday, Dec. 22, via UPS 2nd Day Air, or as late as Thursday, Dec. 23, using UPS Next Day Air Service. Smooth Moves at Valley General

   Valley General Hospital in Monroe is offering Smooth Moves (The Lebed Method), a therapeutic movement and low-impact exercise program, on Thursday, Dec. 30, from 6-7 p.m. in the physical therapy department. This class is offered weekly and is designed for breast cancer survivors and those with chronic diseases or limited mobility. Fee: $15 per month. Moms in Touch meets
