Conservation Plant Sale brochure available

If you have property or a home in need of some trees and shrubs, a brochure available from Snohomish Conservation District can help you choose plants suitable for this area.

The conservation district hosts a plant sale at the fairgrounds in Monroe every year. The brochure lists plants available at the sale or those which can be preordered now. Twenty-nine trees and shrubs are listed in the brochure, including douglas, grand, and noble fir, shore pine, sequoia, hemlock, cedar, dogwood, red-flowering currant, salal, kinnickinnick, and many more. Most trees are small seedlings, about 8-18" tall. Willow whips, used for streambank stabilization, are also available.

District staff are available to answer questions. The sale will be held Saturday, March 4th. Call the district at 425-335-5634, ext. 4, to receive a free brochure.
