Falcons win Lynden tournament

The Woodinville High School Falcons basketball team beat two highly-ranked teams last week in winning the Lynden holiday basketball tournament. In their first game, they beat top-ten team Foss of Tacoma. They beat their host, perennial state power Lynden, in two overtimes in the final game behind tourney MVP Sterling Brown's 24 points.

The Falcons took an 11-point lead into the fourth quarter, but Lynden's defense held them to four points to force overtime. Dane Mickelson made the tourney first team, and Jake Stern second team.
