Recycle your tree

   Christmas trees may be recycled by dropping them off on January 8 at Duvall's Taylor Landing Park by noon or at Carnation Tree Farm by 1 p.m. Tree-Cycling locations in Fall City and Cedar Falls Dropbox near North Bend will be open January 7-10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 788-1185.

ELan at Main Street Music

   ELan will perform at Main Street Music in Duvall on Saturday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. The band's line-up is Erik Dawson, guitar/vocals; Brandon Jackson, guitar; Matt Bos, drums; and Jesse Brasch, bass. Main Street Music is located above Coast to Coast. Call 844-2988.

Snoqualmie Watershed Forum

   The next meeting of the Snoqualmie Watershed Forum will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 5 from 7-9 p.m. at Carnation City Hall.

Red Cross open house

   The Red Cross is holding an open house on Saturday, Jan. 8, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Multi-Service Center in Carnation to recruit volunteers for disaster training.

Laura Ruderman to speak in Duvall

   State Representative Laura Ruderman will speak to staff, parents, and community members at Cherry Valley Elementary on Wednesday, Jan. 5, at 4:30 p.m. Staff, friends, neighbors, and parents are encouraged to take this opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas with Rep. Ruderman as she begins the 2000 Legislative session.

Citizen of the Year banquet set

   Duvall City Director Jim Bourasa has been selected Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year. A banquet will be held in his honor on Jan. 15, 2000 at 6:30 p.m. at Duvall United Methodist Church at the corner of Main St. and Stella in Duvall. Reservations are required. Cost is $20 per person to be paid at the door and dinner choices are prime rib or pasta primavera. Call the Chamber Special Events Hotline at 788-8956 to make reservations.

Swing dance classes

   Swing dance classes with George and Betsy will be held at Carnation Elementary School for five Friday evenings starting on Jan. 14. $40 per person; $35 if pre-registered by Jan. 7. Call Betsy at 425-788-2337 or George at 425-888-2401.
