Police Beat

Dec. 30: Jet City Pizza reported a burglary at 14243 Woodinville-Duvall Rd. Someone used a key to enter the business, and another key to open the safe, after the assistant manager closed at 11 p.m., Dec. 29. The safe contained around $1,040, from two days' proceeds, according to the assistant manager. The two owners said they and two other managers usually have keys. But two former employees left and did not turn in their keys, the owners said. Officers suggested that the owners change their locks. Police lifted fingerprints from the safe and passed them on to detectives.

Jan. 3: A Woodinville man reported the license plates stolen from his new car at Eagle Ridge Apartments. Woodinville police said the victim had to call the car dealer to get the number: 854CKZ. Nothing was disturbed in the car, and rain prevented taking fingerprints.
