BOTHELL--Mike Noblet enjoyed unanimous endorsement by Bothell's City Council to continue the mayoral duties he assumed last summer. New councilmember Tim Olsen was elected Mayor Pro Tem (Deputy Mayor) at the Council's Jan. 10 meeting.
Olsen and Cindy Honcoop were sworn in by Bothell's Municipal Court Judge John Rusden at the meeting, joining Bob Banderra and Dick Paylor as fresh faces on the Council. Banderra and Paylor were sworn in after the election in November, because they were elected to fulfill the terms of former councilmembers Debbie Treen and Wendy Brady, who both resigned last summer.
"From the staff's point of view, this is a big change; to have four new councilmembers at one time is very unusual," said Assistant City Manager Manny Ocampo. "But their enthusiasm has made us very optimistic about working with them. We're looking forward to very proactive and positive results from this Council."
