Hear about traffic
John Okamoto, Regional Director of Washington State Department of Transportation, will speak at the Duvall Chamber of Commerce meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 12 noon, at the Duvall Fire Hall, on the subject of Highway 203 traffic. The public is welcome.
Snoqualmie Valley Women's Connection
The Snoqualmie Valley Women's Connection will meet on Saturday, Feb. 5, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., at Cherry Gardens Community Club for a potluck breakfast. The club is located at the junction of Cherry Valley and Kelly Roads about five miles east of Duvall.
Child care, preschool info fair
A child care, preschool, kindergarten information fair will be held on Monday, Jan. 24, from 7-9 p.m. at the Duvall Family Center, 15904 Main St. (corner of SR-203 and Woodinville-Duvall Road). This free event is sponsored by Children's Services of Sno-Valley and King County Parks System. Brooke Pennock at Pumps & Grinds

The Puget Sound Blood Center will be in the Cedarcrest High School library to collect blood donations on Jan. 21 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a break from 11 to 11:45 a.m.
A groundbreaking for the Cherry Valley walking bridge is set for Jan 24, 9 a.m. The bridge will cross a creek and connect the school to Cherry Valley Vista and 3rd Ave.
Mothers support group
A mothers support group open house will be held Jan. 21, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Children's Services of Sno-Valley, 15904 Main St., Duvall. Children welcome at the indoor playground. Call 425-844-2797.
Solo parent support group
A solo parent support group is beginning Feb. 3, every 1st and 3rd Thursday, at Duvall Family Center (Children's Services of Sno-Valley), 6:30-8 p.m. Open discussion group focuses on challenges and joys facing single parents. Provides a support network in a safe environment where parents can share and learn from one another. Guest speakers and off-site recreational activities on occasion. Grandparents as parents support group begins on Feb. 10, every 2nd and 4th Thursday, at Duvall Family Center. Open discussion group focuses on challenges and joys of grandparents raising grandchildren.
