'Battle of the Bands' at Cedarcrest

Cedarcrest High School will present the "Battle of the Bands" on Jan. 29 from 6-12 p.m. in the Commons. The "battle" will feature 10 local garage bands competing on two stages in a round-robin format, and will be judged by the guest band, M-SET. M-SET is a local band that is quickly rising to the top in the greater Seattle region. M-SET will close the evening with a live concert and CD signing opportunity. Tickets are available from the music department at CHS (788-7116). For more information, contact Kathy Nelson at Main Street Music at 844-2988. Food, fun, and prizes will be available throughout the evening. The RHYTHM (Riverview Helping Youth to Have Music) and Main Street Music-sponsored event is a fund-raiser for the music department at Cedarcrest.
