RHYTHM and Main Street Music in Duvall will present the "Battle of the Bands" on Saturday, Jan. 29, from 6 p.m. to midnight in the Cedarcrest Commons.

The 12 bands slated to play in a two-stage round-robin format include: M-Set, Alkai Diggins, ELan, Ryan Mathews, Digital Outcasts, High Society, Misled Youth, Double "O's," Hooligans, Silvertone, and more. These bands are the premier local rock/grunge/garage bands in the area.

Seattle's M-Set and drummer Dave Walker will judge the event. Gift certificates will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. M-Set will also be available to autograph their CD and will end the evening with a live performance.

Admission is $5. Tickets are available from the music department at CHS (788-7116) and at Main Street Music (844-2988). Food, fun, and prizes will be available throughout the evening. Proceeds from the event go directly to the music program at Cedarcrest.

The RHYTHM (Riverview Helping Youth to Have Music) program is assisted by Valley Community Bank, Pacific Music in Redmond, and Main Street Music.
