Cruelty to animals must be stopped

I feel that animal cruelty such as cosmetics testing must stop. It seems that people think it is okay to torture animals.

I have nothing against testing for an AIDS or cancer treatment. But suddenly, people aren't sure if lead is poisonous anymore. When people mistreat their pets, it upsets me so much. Pets are loyal to their owners, and I can't understand why someone would go and hurt them.

Something I'd like to see in my lifetime is an end to animal abuse and testing. I look forward to a day when cosmetic and other companies stop testing their products on animals. If we are truly ready to face the new millennium, we can find ways to research diseases without harming animals.
