WRT announces auditions

   The Woodinville Repertory Theatre (WRT) will hold auditions for its next production, Neil Simon's Brighton Beach Memoirs, on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 28 and 29, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Cottage Lake Presbyterian Preschool, 18350 NE Woodinville-Duvall Rd. There are parts for three men and four women in the play. Those interested should bring a photo, resumé, and two contrasting memorized pieces that are not more than five minutes total. The director for Brighton Beach Memoirs is Hal Ryder, who recently directed Bell, Book and Candle for WRT. Call (425) 481-8502 for an appointment or further information.

Ultimate Hearts Tournament

   Hearts players are invited to the annual Ultimate Hearts Tournament to be held on Saturday, Feb. 26, at the Redhook Brewery from 5:30 to 11 p.m. Hosted by Larry Cenotto and Susan McIntosh, the tournament will benefit the Woodinville Alliance Benevolent Fund. College presents Wine Primer

   Cascadia Community College will offer the first session of its "Sight-Smell-Taste: A Wine Appreciation Primer" on Tuesday, Feb. 22, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Columbia Winery in Woodinville.
