Obituary: Svanhild Thelma Hanson (née Solberg)

   Funeral services for Svanhild Thelma Hanson were held on February 12 at Green's Redmond Funeral Home.

   Mrs. Hanson was born Sept. 14, 1901, and died February 5, 2000. She was born in Kvinesdal, Norway, the first of 11 children to parents Alfred Solberg and Mary Lee. A homemaker, she lived 89 years in King County.

   She is survived by her sisters: Hilda Bark, Seattle; Selma Ferguson, Mercer Island; Lilly Boyd, Enfield, CT; Palma Hoover, Centralia; Alfa Platt, Carnation; brother Roy Solberg, Rochester; her children: Gladys Hetzler, Shoreline; Elsie Pearson, Kirkland; Thelma Bosma, Carnation; Doris Waid, Redmond; Agnes Engle, Tumwater; sons Ray Hanson, Kirkland, and Edwin Hanson, Bellingham.

   There are also 26 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, other family members, and many friends.
