James Armin Hanson

   James Hanson, 54, of Elk River, Minnesota, died Monday, Feb. 7, at his home. He was born Feb. 9, 1945 in Steele County, Minnesota, the son of Lloyd and Mary (Kubat) Hanson.

   Mr. Hanson was active in 4-H during his school years. He graduated from Waseca School of Agriculture in 1963 and from Austin Vo-Tech for auto mechanics in 1965. He married Linda Lawson in 1969, and was later divorced. He was an owner/operator driving for National Van Lines, an independent over-the-road truck driver, and most recently an auto mechanic. He enjoyed working on hot rods and doing custom engine work, gardening and his pet rabbits.

   Survivors include Kenneth "KJ" and Renee Hanson (son) of Las Vegas, Nevada; Michael Hanson (son) of Owatonna, Minnesota; Marge Hanson (sister) of Woodinville; and Mary Hanson (mother) of Woodinville. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Hanson.

   Funeral services were held Feb. 19 in Owatonna, Minnesota.

Roger Burt

   Roger Burt, age 78, a longtime resident of Woodinville, passed away Feb. 13. He taught upholstery at Lake Washington Technical College. Mr. Burt was a volunteer fireman for District 36 for 25 years. He is survived by Mildred, his wife of 39 years; and many friends and family. Contributions may be made to Medic I.
