Cue the Classics

The Northshore Performing Arts Center Foundation will present a reprise of its popular concert, "Cue the Classics," on Saturday, March 18, at 8 p.m. at Bear Creek United Methodist Church.

Featured this year are the Northshore Sinfonia Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Tony Catanzarita, and Northshore student musicians who have qualified to compete at the State Solo and Ensemble competition in April.

Dr. Catanzarita, who has guest-conducted such groups as the Tulsa Philharmonic and the Oregon Bach Festival Orchestra, created the Northshore Sinfonia in 1998 to fill the need for a quality resident string orchestra in Northshore. The orchestra will play a medley of well-known light classical music, including some Strauss waltzes.

Tickets are $15, $10/seniors, and $5/students; children 5 and under are free. For more information, contact the NPACF office at 489-6638. Bear Creek United Methodist Church is located at 16530 Avondale Road NE.
