Students win awards

   Woodinville High School students competed in the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) West Central Regional Conference on February 18. Twenty-four student competed in business and speaking events of their choice.

   The following 13 students won regional awards: Chad Arnold took first place in Impromptu Speaking; Bryson Baily and Justin Thomason teamed together for fifth place in Desktop Publishing.

   Heidi Cope was took third in Business Procedures; Erin German placed second for FBLA Principles and Procedures; Rachel Gugich was fifth in FBLA Principles and Procedures; Adam Jackson and Candace Toth worked together for a first place in Desktop Publishing.

   Emily Potter took fifth in Impromptu Speaking; Erin Potter won first place in Accounting II; Erika Soga placed third for International Business; and Candace Toth took third in Impromptu Speaking.

   The next step for these students will be to compete in the FBLA State Leadership Conference to be held in Bellevue April 27-29.
