Richard Middaugh of Woodinville died March 15 at the age of 74 at Evergreen Hospital after a long illness.

Mr. Middaugh moved to Woodinville in 1956 and worked for Darigold until his retirement in August 1987. He was a naval veteran of World War II.

He devoted himself to the youth of his community through his involvement in Little League and the Boy Scouts. Mr. Middaugh also enjoyed reading, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.

His survivors include his wife, Jean; sons, Richard A. Middaugh and wife, Barbara, Larry Joe Middaugh and his fiancée, Agnes, of Woodinville; daughter, Robin A. Herrera and husband Phil of Federal Way; seven grandchildren, Richard, Bridget, Callina, and Dustin Middaugh, and Amanda, Aaron, and Colton Herrera; sisters, Barbara of Des Moines, Iowa; Joyce and Ben of Sacramento, California; brother, Randy and Dora of Vacaville, California; and several stepbrothers and stepsisters. He is also survived by a very special brother-in-law, Jerry Baldwin and his wife, Jackie.

Interment was next to his son, Robert P. Middaugh, who preceded him in death, at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Redmond. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
