Community invited to share ideas on Bothell's economic environment

All interested community members and business people are invited to attend the first in a series of meetings designed to focus on improving the economic environment of Bothell.

The Bothell Economic Summit will be held on Saturday, April 8, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Ricketts Auditorium, located at 18315 Bothell Way NE in downtown Bothell.

The gathering will be facilitated by the City of Bothell and the Bothell Economic Development Partnership (BEDP), a group of business people organized to promote the economic environment in Bothell. The goal of this first meeting is to begin a brainstorming session with interested community members regarding what makes Bothell a good place to live, and how to preserve and improve that quality of life.

"The objective is to begin identifying specific action steps that will lead to a sustainable, high quality of life, as defined and valued by the Bothell community," City Manager Jim Thompson stated. "We hope everyone who has some interest in Bothell's economic future will be able to come and participate in this important first step."

A continental breakfast will be provided for participants. Those planning to attend are asked to contact Lori Lord or Lynda Quinn in the Office of the City Manager at (425) 486-3256 to RSVP. For further information on the Bothell Economic Summit, contact City Manager Jim Thompson or Assistant City Manager Manny Ocampo at (425) 486-3256.
