Obituary: Jerin Thomas Wetzel

   A memorial service for Jerin Thomas Wetzel of Carnation, age 20, was held April 7 at the Washington Cathedral in Redmond. Jerin passed away on April 1 as the result of an accident.

   Jerin was born on October 20, 1979, in Redmond. He was raised in the Duvall-Carnation area. He attended Cherry Valley and Carnation Elementary schools, Tolt Middle School, and was later home schooled.

   He was a foreman for Eldorado Stone in Carnation. He worked with his father making willow furniture, then worked for Four Suns Construction Company before becoming a commercial fisherman in Alaska. In his leisure time, he enjoyed snowboarding, fishing, and spending time with his friends and family.

   Survivors include his father, Mark Wetzel, of Duvall, his mother and stepfather, Joy and Gene Coble of Carnation; three brothers, Jason Wetzel, John Coble-White, Jeffrey Coble; a sister, Abbra Wetzel; grandparents George and Faith Wetzel, Hilda and William MacDonald, Arline Harvold; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
