Valley Special

Forum on health care issues set

   The Snoqualmie Valley Community Network will host a forum on Health Care Issues in the Snoqualmie Valley on Tuesday, April 18 at 5:30 p.m. at Chief Kanim Middle School in Fall City.

   The Network's Board of Directors recognizes that citizens are seeking information about a number of health-related issues, and would welcome an information sharing opportunity. Some of the issues that people have questions about are:

  • Changing Valley environment related to hospital care;

  • Lack of understanding about local services for seniors, such as home health care;

  • Lack of knowledge or understanding about local options that address critical early brain development;

  • Availability of specialized care and treatment for problems, such as alcohol and/or drug addiction;

  • Emergency response;

  • How our schools address certain health problems.   Panelists include representatives from the Evergreen Hospital, private clinics, Public Health-Seattle and King County, Riverview School District, Snoqualmie Valley School District, and others.
