Free storytelling workshop

   Start a new family tradition. Learn how to start telling and sharing stories with your preschooler at a free workshop on Monday, April 24, 10-11 a.m. at the Duvall Family Center. The workshop uses an interactive approach to storytelling and is not a story reading time. Parents and their preschoolers (ages 4-6) will participate in interactive group stories and play story games together. Parents will take home a packet of ideas, activities, resources, and tips on promoting storytelling. Children will take home their very own "Once upon a time..." story. The Duvall Family Center is located at 15904 Main Street (788-7924). Since space is limited, call Meg Robsahm at Eastside Literacy at 844-2459 or 558-2459 to register.

Karaoke Night at Main Street Music

   Main Street Music will host Karaoke Night on Saturday, April 22, from 7-9 p.m. Call 425-844-2988 for information. Main Street Music is located above True Value Hardware in Duvall.

Easter breakfast in Fall City

   Fall City United Methodist Sunday School will host an Easter breakfast on April 23 from 7-10 a.m. Come join in a hot country breakfast and help bring back Chernobyl child Juli Stepuro. Donations will be much appreciated. For more information, call Brenda Carignan at 222-6859.

Easter Egg Hunt

   The American Legion annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 22, at 9:30 a.m. at the Memorial Park in Carnation. All children from infant through age nine are invited to participate. Many prizes will be awarded in the age groups infant through three; four through six; and seven through nine.

Homeschool options meeting

   A planning meeting for interested PARADE and homeschool parents is set for Monday, April 24, 4-6 p.m. in the Carnation Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room. The mission of the PARADE program is to create an educational partnership with homeschool families. For information, call AnnRené Joseph at 425-788-6610, ext. 253.

Log house building seminar

   Skip Ellsworth will be conducting a two-day log home building seminar on the weekend of May 27 and 28. Skip has been holding these very popular classes for 26 years. A detailed description of the seminar can be found on the Web at www.loghomebuilders.org.

Select soccer tryouts

   Snoqualmie Valley Youth Soccer Association will be holding tryouts on April 29, 10-11:30 a.m., and April 30 from 1-2:30 p.m. at Snoqualmie Elementary for boys age groups Under 16 and Under 17 (born on or after August 1, 1983). Registration forms will be available (parent required to sign) and they will need to bring their own water and a size 5 soccer ball.

Spring holiday luncheon

   Sno-Valley Senior Center invites all seniors age 60-up to the Spring Holiday Luncheon on Thursday, April 20, at noon. The menu includes salad greens, glazed ham, sweet potato casserole, steamed broccoli, wheat roll, and fresh strawberry tart. Suggested donation of $2.50. For those under 60, cost is $4.65. Easter at Stillwater Church

   Stillwater Hill Community Church in Duvall celebrates Easter with heartwarming musical drama performances on Saturday, April 22, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, April 23, at 10:45 a.m. Childcare will be provided for children ages newborn to three years of age.
