Orthodox Easter services

On Saturday, April 29, and Sunday, April 30, the new Greek Orthodox Christian Mission will hold traditional Easter services.

A candlelight procession and paschal liturgy will take place on Saturday at 11 p.m. On Sunday at 12:30 p.m., the mission will hold paschal vespers, followed by an Easter egg hunt for children. Services are done mainly in English and visitors are welcome.

The Orthodox Christian Church follows an ancient calendar in which Easter always follows the Jewish Passover. For this reason, Orthodox Easter this year falls one week later than the date observed by most churches.

The mission currently meets at 6211 NE 182nd in Kenmore. For more information, call 425-415-1514.
