PTA Council scholarships

   The Northshore PTA Council in their committment to bettering the lives of children and young people has awarded scholarships to financially assist graduating seniors with their continuing education. The 2000 scholarship recipients are: Bothell High School, Meggan Kimball; Woodinville High School, Elizabeth Abel.

Washington Scholar named

   Bellevue Christian High School senior Kevin Rech has been named a Washington Scholar. Washington Scholars are in the top one percent of their class. Rech, son of Sarah and Ron Rech of Woodinville, will attend a ceremony in the Washington State Legislature on May 3.

Music, drama at SpringFest

   Northshore School District's HomeSchool program will host SpringFest, an evening of music, drama, and academic displays, on Thursday, May 4, at 7 p.m. in the Leota Junior High cafeteria. SpringFest will feature the talents of multi-age students who learn at home and use the public school to augment their studies. Leota Junior High is located at 19301 - 168th Ave. NE, Woodinville.
