Musical Revue of Broadway

   The Snoqualmie Valley Community Choir presents A Musical Revue of Broadway on Wednesday, May 10, 7 p.m. at Cedarcrest High School. Young and old are invited to attend and hum along with favorites from A Chorus Line, Cats, Hello Dolly, and The Sound of Music. The concert will showcase local talent, including solos and accompanists on drums, guitar, and piano. Admission is free. Refreshments provided after the performance. Donations accepted.

Ben Jones Memorial Golf Tournament

   The 2nd annual Ben Jones Golf Tournament will be held again this year at the beautiful Mt. Si Golf Course on July 14, starting with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. For a $50 entrance fee, which benefits the Sno-Valley Senior Center in Carnation, golfers have a chance to win a new Buick or other great prizes. The fee includes lunch à la golf cart and promises of a great time. Golfers can sign up by calling Isabel at 425-333-4436. Community businesses can show senior support by sponsoring a hole. This deductible $200 sponsorship fee comes with advertising for the generous business owner. Call 333-4436.

Blues jam at Pumps & Grinds

   Guitarist Charles Eliot hosts a Blues Jam on the first Saturday of each month, including the next jam session on May 6 from 7:30-10 p.m. at Pumps & Grinds. The jam sessions draw talented guitarists, drummers, string bassists, and keyboard players. On May 13, Pumps & Grinds will host Lee Grumman and the Occasional Drums, African-based drumming; May 20 (every third Saturday), Open Mike with Cal Donnolley; and May 27, Katherine Bond, poet. Benefit Walk-A-Thon in Fall City

   Fall City Elementary School is holding a Walk-A-Thon on Thursday, May 18, from 2:30-4:30 p.m., followed by a celebration barbecue. All funds raised go toward new playground equipment for the school and community.

Riverview budget meeting

   The Riverview Board of Directors invites students, staff, parents, and community members to the Tuesday, May 9, 7 p.m. board meeting for input into the 2000-2001 school year budget. The meeting will be held in the district boardroom. Call 425-333-4115 or 4225-788-6610.

Substance Abuse Coalition meets

Junior football and cheer registration

   Sno-Valley Vikings football and cheer squad registration for boys and girls ages 7-14 will take place on Saturday, May 6, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Carnation Fire Hall, and Saturday, May 13, 10-4, at North Bend Train Depot. Call 425-888-0583.
