Duvall Days Country Living Festival is May 20

   Duvall Days is set for Saturday, May 20. Due to the closure of NE 124th, there will be no parade or fun run this year. However, daylong activities and entertainment have been planned, and the infamous Frog Jump Contest will go on as scheduled.

   Those wishing to get booth information should contact the chamber hotline at 788-8384 or stop by the following Duvall locations to pick up applications: Valley Mailbox, City Hall, Bank of America, and Valley Community Bank.

   This year's Saturday events will feature day-long happenings, including an arts and crafts fair with more than 50 craft, information, and food booths, food court, party ponies (Brown Ave. & Valley St.), and band entertainment at the Family Grocer parking lot. The Cedarcrest High School Jazz Band and Tolt Middle School Band will play at the Fit Happens parking lot. The Duvall Fire Department District 45 Fireman's Challenge will be on 1st Avenue.

   Activities begin at the grandstand at 11 a.m. with the Fit Happens Aerobathon, benefiting the Duvall Emergency Fund, followed by the Bare Foot Moses Band, sponsored by the Duvall EM Church at 12 and 12:50, the Mended Heart Band at 1:30; Cedarcrest H.S. Cheerleader performance at 2:15; Fit Happens Aerobic Demo at 2:30; TJ Dance Studio Demo at 2:45; Frog Jump Contest Registration at 3 p.m. with the Frog Jump scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

   Fireworks will be at dusk. The best viewing area is at Cherry Valley Elementary School. On Sunday, there will be the 39th annual Duvall Firefighters Pancake Breakfast from 7 a.m to 2 p.m.
