'Go Wild in Woodinville'

Woodinville Parks & Recreation will present a three-part nature series, "Go Wild in Woodinville," beginning May 11. Parents and children will have a chance to look into a variety of environmental topics while getting to know other pre-school age children.

Class topics will include: In Search of Animal Homes; A Worm's World; and To Be a Tree. Each class will include a storytime and snack period. The program will take place at Gold Creek Lodge on Thursdays from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Children ages 6 to 12 years can explore the great outdoors through an artist's eye when Outdoor Studio Art meets from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. on Tuesdays at Gold Creek Lodge, beginning May 16. The class will use nature to supplement each art experience. Younger children will focus on the discovery and mechanics of artistic skills. Older children will work on the enhancement of art through light and depth in their paintings and drawing.

DoArt Depoe, an art discovery program for parent and child, will help children discover natural artistic skills based on a story or poem read to the class. Children will explore a variety of art mediums and meet new friends. Class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays at Sorenson gym from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
