Tap duo wraps up Arts Onstage

Johnson & Peters

Rhythm tap artists Johnson & Peters will perform June 4 at the Cedarcrest Performing Arts Center to wrap up the Arts Onstage season.

The Duvall Arts Commission and the Duvall Foundation for the Arts present a tap-happy wrap-up to the first full Arts Onstage season with a performance by Johnson & Peters, known as Seattle's Tap Dancing Duo. The popular rhythm tap artists will appear at Cedarcrest Performing Arts Center on Sunday, June 4, at 2 p.m. The dancers will be accompanied by a live jazz combo.

In its inaugural season, Arts Onstage has served over 1,500 patrons from the Snoqualmie Valley and surrounding areas. Audience response has been overwhelmingly favorable, and plans are underway for a second season beginning with a concert by the Bellevue Philharmonic Orchestra on October 14.

Other programs under consideration include Sprouts Children's theater, Spectrum Dance Theatre, the Northwest Boychoir/Girlchoir, Seattle Mime Theater with lyrical juggler Thomas Arthur, soprano Awilda Verdejo, and Rockhopper Dance. Complete information on the 2000-2001 Arts Onstage season will be available later in June.

The Cedarcrest Performing Arts Center is located at 29000 NE 150th Street in Duvall. Tickets to the Johnson & Peters performance may be purchased at Pumps & Grinds, Gardens & Sunspaces, or Main Street Music in the Main Street shopping district of Duvall. Ticket prices are $8 adults, $5 students and seniors. Children under five are free, but a ticket is required.
