Carnation Elementary art auction

   The Carnation Elementary PTSA will be sponsoring the Second Annual Art Auction on Wednesday, June 7, in the school's multi-purpose room. The evening will start with student and community musicians playing from 6-7 p.m., followed by the live auction conducted by Jimmy Manuel. All items are created by the students or donated by local artists. The PTSA Art Appreciation program is dedicated to providing additional art experiences in the classroom and to introduce children to the works of famous artists. All proceeds will benefit art and music education at Carnation Elementary.

Sandblast 2000 issues call to artists

   DUVALL--Snoqualmie Valley artists are invited to show, demonstrate, and sell their original artwork at Sandblast 2000. Interested artists should submit an application form and pictures of their work. The show is juried and there is a $10 application fee. The application deadline is June 18. Space is limited and acceptance is based partially on the date the application is received. Hooligans at Main Street Music

   The Hooligans are set to perform with Misled Youth on Saturday, June 10, at 7 p.m. at Main Street Music. For additional information, call (425) 844-2988.

Horsley to speak

   Jim Horsley, former Blue Angel and decorated Navy jet pilot, will speak at the Cedarcrest High School Class of 2000 Baccalaureate, Sunday, June 11, 7 p.m., at 29000 NE 150th St. in Duvall. The community is welcome.
