Year of the Carousel at Remlingers

Remlinger Farms kicks off the International Year of the Carousel on Thursday, June 22, by hosting 50 Make-A-Wish recipients for the Family Fun Fair. Remlinger Farms will also donate the day's profits to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The International Year of the Carousel celebration will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 and includes a full day of fun on all rides and attractions.

Remlinger's will also host an old-fashioned barbecue for Father's Day, along with its Micro Brew Festival, on Sunday, June 18. Admission is $14 for adults; $12 for under 21; and $10 for under 12. Call (425) 333-4135, ext. 100.

The celebration highlight is the old fashioned Swing Carousel, provided by Lorinda Bray of Pasadena, California. She dreams of opening a carousel museum in the Pacific Northwest one day.

Other rides and attractions will be operating, as well. There will be pony rides, roller coaster rides, the 4-H Animal barnyard with all the baby animals, the hay maze, hay jump, and giant hay mountain, and the delightful talents of James and his Marionettes in the Farm Theatre.

Everyone is invited to attend and help Remlinger Farms support the Make-a-Wish Foundation. A Make-a-Wish Foundation representative will be on hand for the celebration to answer questions and provide information about the program.
