So many thanks are due to so many

Doesn't the BNSF trestle look great now? Phase I of Gateway Enhancement 2000 has been completed with the partnerships of The City of Woodinville, Northshore School District, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, AK/MEDIA NW (Ackerley Group), 3M, Inc., Woodinville Signs, and Rainier Industries.

Significant financial contributions were given by AK/MEDIA NW, BNSF, 3M, Sherwin-Williams Paint, Woodinville Lumber, and an anonymous donor. To date, donations to help defray the costs of the project have been received from Sir Plus, Woodinville Texaco, RJ Tire, Pony Mailbox, Towne Bank, Advanced Insurance Solutions, Woodinville Cycle, Ride Motorsports, Midas Muffler, Woodinville Photo, Dairy Queen, Eye Clinic Northshore, Empire Construction, Jiffy Prints, Atrium Armadillo, Woodinville Primary Care, Union 76 on 131st, U-Frame-It,and Woodinville Signs.

Phase II is in the planning stage: the landscaping of all four sides of the retaining walls. Drought-resistant plants will be installed when appropriate, according to general planting guidelines. We welcome further contributions from the business community to help with this massive effort. Donations of $50 may be sent to City Hall; checks made out to the City of Woodinville (memo to Gateway Enhancement Project). Thanks in advance for any further help you can send this way.

And that artwork! Heaps of thanks and congratulations go out to Amy and Cam for their thoughtful and creative approaches to "keeping our waterways clean."
