Blues jam at Pumps & Grinds

   A blues jam is set for Saturday, July 1, from 7:30-10 p.m. at Pumps & Grinds Coffeehouse, 15614 Main St. NE, Duvall. Hosted by guitarist Charles Eliot. All comers can enjoy music or make music. Call 425-844-2766.

Rummage sale & bazaar

   Lord of Life Lutheran Church will hold a building fund benefit rummage sale and bazaar on Saturday, July 8, from 9-3 at Big Rock Road and Batten Road in Duvall. Follow signs to church property. Furniture, toys, clothes, books, riding lawn mower, food, and fun.

Strawberry Shortcake at Sno-Valley Seniors

   Strawberry Shortcake will be served at the Sno-Valley Senior Center beginning at 10 a.m. during the July 4 celebration in Carnation.

Sno-Valley Senior Shuttle

   The Sno-Valley Senior Shuttle--volunteer transportation service for seniors and people with disabilities--is available Monday-Friday from 9-4. Those eligible can use the Senior Shuttle for rides to the Senior Center, grocery shopping, medical appointments, and other local errands. All rides are free; however, donations are accepted. Forum on sewer in Carnation

   A draft plan on the proposed Carnation sewer has been completed by the consultant. On July 7, a newsletter will be mailed to residents. A public forum for questions and answers is set for July 20 at 7 p.m. On August 1, there will be a City Council public hearing on the proposal. A decision by the council is expected by Aug. 15.

Grace Episcopal Church to take a sabbatical

   Beginning June 18, Grace Episcopal Church, which meets in the Duvall Library Rose Room on Sunday mornings, will be on indefinite Sabbatical. In the fall, the church will re-evaluate whether it will continue to offer services. For questions, call The Rev. Whitney Jones at 861-0906.
