Duvall's Arts Onstage announces new season

Bellevue Philharmonic to open

DUVALL--Arts Onstage, the popular performance series presented by the Duvall Arts Commission and the Duvall Foundation for the Arts, has announced its seven-show season for 2000-2001.

In response to overwhelming demand for classical music, the Bellevue Philharmonic Orchestra will open the season on October 14 at the Cedarcrest Performing Arts Center.

November highlights Rockhopper Dance Company presenting its dance/theatre piece, The Wedding Game. The December holiday special combines the talents of the Northwest Boychoir and Girlchoir with a preview of Awilda Verdejo's February program, Amor.

Seattle Mime Theater and lyrical juggler Thomas Arthur offer a remedy for the January blues. Celebrate Valentine's Day with Awilda Verdejo's evening of love songs in February.

Spectrum Dance Theater returns to Duvall in March with Voices of Jazz, Danced, a program that combines a live jazz trio, jazz vocalist Greta Matassa and Spectrum's spectacular jazz dancing. Children from 1 to 101 will love Sprouts children's theater in April.

Season tickets to the 2000-2001 Arts Onstage series are on sale now. Don't miss out on a single performance in this stellar season. For information, call Carolyn at 425-788-2983, or Jan at 425-844-8516.

Volunteer opportunities are always available. Anyone who would like to help with pre-show activities, provide hospitality for guest artists, sell concessions, or assist with loading equipment in and out, please call 425-788-2983. Arts Onstage is also seeking a volunteer coordinator.
