Parks & Rec Board position open

   BOTHELL--Citizens interested in assisting the City of Bothell on a volunteer advisory board now have one position on the Parks and Recreation Board to consider. The Parks and Recreation Board has one partial term open, which will end on March 31, 2001.

   The Parks and Recreation Board advises the City Council regarding the expansion and operation of the City's parks and recreation facilities and programs, including comprehensive planning and the capital improvement program. The Board meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Bothell City Hall. Qualified applicants may reside within the City limits or within the City's planning area.

   All board positions offer opportunities to become involved in city government. Applications for the Parks and Recreation Board are being accepted in the City Clerk's Office at City Hall through Friday, August 4th, at 5 p.m. The City Council will conduct interviews, and make an appointment to the Parks and Recreation Board on Tuesday, September 5th at its Council meeting.
