Northshore Seniors perform at Benaroya

   Several Northshore seniors performed at Benaroya Hall in Seattle during the Talent Show Extravaganza 2000 on Friday, July 14. The seniors auditioned for the event and were chosen by local celebrity Dick Foley.

   Northshore Senior Center performers at the event included members of the Ladies Quartet (Eileen McCallum, Alice McGovern, Jean Uhlhorn, and Ann Willie). Also performing was the men's duet, consisting of Bill Ostheimer and Karl Reynolds. Individual singer was Gary Jang, who earned a third place. Concetta Migliore performed a piano solo, for which she won first prize.

   The event was sponsored by Aetna Insurance Co.

DeYoung Summer Concert Series

   The 2000 DeYoung Summer Concert Series continues with a performance by the acclaimed Cascadia Folk Quartet, Thursday, July 20, at noon in DeYoung Park in downtown Woodinville. The concert is free and open to the public. The Cascadia Folk quartet performs a range of instrumental music from American and European cultures. DeYoung Park is located across from Molbak's.
