Ducks Unlimited plans August events

The Snoqualmie Valley Chapter of Ducks Unlimited (DU) will hold two outdoor events in August to help support wetlands conservation. A "Greenwing Rendezvous" for youths and families will be held Saturday, Aug. 12 at Canine Country Club in Fall City. A "Sponsor" event for current and prospective Sponsor members will be held Sunday, August 13, also at Canine Country Club.
   Both events feature outdoor activities, food, prizes and fun.
   The Greenwing Rendezvous is open to youths under 18 years of age and their families.
   The Greenwing Rendezvous features a variety of activities emphasizing wetlands education and outdoor fun, including a wetlands tour, wood duck nesting box construction, duck calling contest, retriever demonstrations, casting contests, games and raffles.
   Ticket prices are $20 for youths and $35 for adults, which include a lunch, DU membership and hat.
   The Sponsor event features a chukar hunt with trained pointers on a private game preserve, a sporting clays' shoot, shooting competition, silent auction, raffles and barbecue lunch. This event is open to current and new DU Sponsor-level members.
