Community has shown generosity
For the past 10 years my family and I have been residents of Woodinville. During that time I have seen increasing evidence of a strong commitment to and support of nonprofit organizations.
In the past few weeks, it has been especially evident in the support that Girl Scouts have received from local businesses.
On July 14th, the Woodinville Girl Scout Day Camp ended another successful week at Tolt McDonald Park in Carnation. The King County staff was extremely helpful in making it a great week.
They are a group of unsung heroes ‹ I believe that many people don't realize what a great job they do to make our parks some of the best around.
In addition, a simple request from the following businesses brought a wealth of donations, which added to the total camp experience for the kids of our community. We would like to thank Costco, Keeney's Office Supplies in Woodinville and Redmond, Kinko's, PostNet in Woodinville, Trader Joe's, KBSG radio station, QFC in Woodinville, Bartell's at Kingsgate, Woodinville Photo and Portraits and Northwest Suites for their generosity. It makes me proud to live in such a giving community!
