The word for WRT's 'MAME' is WOW!

by Becky Nixon
The Woodinville Repertory Theater (WRT) group has always performed thoroughly entertaining plays, but at the opening night of the musical "Mame", the hometown theater's director, actors and cast took the troupe to a new level of professionalism with their rendition of "Mame."
A supremely talented cast led by Judy Ann Moulton, Valerie Vestal, Melanie Merrill, and star quality- young Chloe Mollis-McBride turned the rousing "Mame" into a Broadway-caliber performance.
Once again, Woodinville High School drama teacher Hjalmer Anderson delivered his directional magic. One of his students, Emilie Leis, did a great job as Pegeen Ryan and was also a part of the ensemble. The orchestra, led by conductor D. J. Gommels was in perfect tune.
Tina Mollis, choreographer, created tight, high stepping dance numbers that rivaled any Broadway production. Dance captain Jana Malloy in the ensemble, made the dancing look effortless and light.
Do not miss "Mame". See it and walk away proud that such high quality of entertainment is in Woodinville's own back yard. "Mame" runs August 17-19, 24-26 at 8 p.m., 2 p.m. on August 13, 20 and 27.
Woodinville High School Performing Arts Theater is located at 19819 136th NE, Woodinville.
