Motorcyclist dies after collision

Sean Eric Grimme, a 26- year-old Shoreline resident, died last week, when his motorcycle collided head on with a pickup truck. The collision occurred shortly before 7:57 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8, at the 16000 block of NE 124th Avenue, just east of the Redmond-Woodinville Road.
Grimme was out riding motorcycles with two friends with whom he had, at one time, worked.
The three friends had arranged to meet and go out for a ride after they each finished work for the day.
The deceased man's friends stated that there was a car between themselves and the fatally injured man and another car in front of him before the collision. They saw him suddenly veer to the left on the two-land road.
The victim's two riding companions then saw him immediately collide with the on coming truck. Paramedics from Evergreen Hospital, who were the first emergency personnel to reach him after the collision at 8:01 p.m., pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup was a 20-year-old Bothell man. He was not arrested. Deputies from the King County Sheriff's Office are investigating the fatal collision.
Ten emergency units were initially dispatched (including units from Woodinville Fire & Life Safety District as well as Medic One).
