New date set for Chalk Art Show

   The City of Bothell Parks & Recreation Division has changed the date of the Chalk Art Show to Sunday, Sept. 17. The new date will allow its inclusion in the upcoming Riverfest Festival (Sept. 9-17), a weeklong event held at the Park at Bothell Landing, celebrating the heritage of the Bothell community and featuring concerts, a movie, paddle races on the Sammamish River, and more. Fun in the Park at Bothell Landing

   Movie in the Park for teens gives teens a chance to experience the drive-in movie experience. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and munchies to the Park at Bothell Landing (9919 NE 180th) on Friday, Aug. 25th, and watch a PG-rated classic. The movie will begin at approximately 9 p.m. End-of-Summer Bash for teens will be held on Saturday, Aug. 26, noon-3 p.m., at Bothell's Skate Park (9815 NE 188th). This is a free event. Exploration Northwest videos at Evergreen State Fair

   From 1982 to 1992, local broadcaster Don McCune served as "The Voice of the Evergreen State Fair," recording each year's radio and TV commercials and doing numerous announcements on the fairgrounds during the fair. This year, visitors to Evergreen State Fair in Monroe can find the Don McCune Library exhibit in the Horse Show Arena.
