Police Beat

   Aug. 12: A couple who parked their 1998 Ford Expedition in a field to attend a concert came back to find the vehicle was missing.

   Aug. 12: A Mill Creek vehicle, reported stolen, was recovered. There was no evidence of damage to the car; the steering column and ignition were undamaged and the door locks were fine. Pornographic magazines were found in the rear seat.

   Aug. 14: A commercial burglary was reported in the 175th St. area of Woodinville by the owner. The thief gained access by throwing a rock through a glass door. The suspects took some loose change from a drawer, tried to open a locked file cabinet, and made off with the safe. The safe contained an undisclosed amount of cash and checks.

   Aug. 14: Another business in Woodinville on 175th St. reported a burglary. A window was broken out with a rock; the thief riffled through things, unlocked the front door, and let him/herself out. Nothing was reported missing.

   Aug. 14: A vehicle stolen from Kirkland was recovered in Woodinville. The stereo was removed from the dash and a condom was found on the floor. Prints were lifted for evidence.
