Public meeting set for Cold Creek draft site plan

Residents interested in helping to shape the future of Cold Creek Natural Area near Woodinville are invited to a public meeting to be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19 at the Woodinville Library.
King County has completed a draft site management plan for Cold Creek Natural Area, and will be presenting the plan to the public meeting. The plan was developed following a detailed site analysis and with input received from the community prior to and after an earlier public meeting held in January. Recommendations in the draft plan include information on existing site conditions, opportunities and constraints of natural area use, and public comments. King County staff will be in attendance at the meeting to answer questions.
Cold Creek Natural Area is a 150-acre site purchased through the award-winning Waterways 2000 program. It links two other King County parks west of Cottage Lake off Woodinville-Duvall Road - Daniels Creek Park and Basset Pond Park. Cold Creek runs through the middle of Cold Creek Natural Area.
The public meeting willtake place in the multi-purpose room at Woodinville Library, located at 17105 Avandale Road Northeast, east of Woodinville. For more information, call Leslie Mclean, Project Manager, at 206-296-0968.
Written comments on the draft site plan will be accepted through Thursday, October 5, and should be addressed to Leslie Mclean at 500 Fourth Avenue Room 320, Seattle, WA, 98103.
Copies of the draft plan are available for public review at the Woodinville and Bellevue King County libraries, and the downtown Seattle Public Library.
