Kanterbury K-9

* The Canterbury Square Condominiums in downtown Woodinville held their 2nd Annual K-9 Kakewalk Saturday, Aug. 26. Residents of Canterbury met at the clubhouse with canines dressed in costumes. To the delight of onlookers, owners then paraded the dogs down the streets of the park.
   All entrants received participation certificates, and ribbons were awarded to dogs in the following categories: largest, smallest, oldest, youngest, funniest, fattest, thinnest, sexiest, feistiest, bravest, best personality, most beautiful, cleverest costume, most well- behaved, and slow poke.
   "This is our answer to the annual "Basset Bash," said Jack Emery, Canterbury resident.
   A barbecue pot luck followed. Local merchants dowho made donations for the event were Top Foods, Red Robin, Woodinville Cafe, Roundtable Pizza, Cineplex Theater and Molbaks.
   Dogs and their owners were: Clytie Mattoon with Alexa; Walt and Rosemary Hemphill with Bee-Jay; Virginia Reichman with Duffy; Jack and Melba Emery with Gus; Barbara and Darryl Deede with Honey; Marge and Richard Lynch with Max; Rod and Delores Olzendam with Meesha; Jill Newkirk with Misty; Joyce Scott with M.J.; Harold Washburn with Muffy; Van and Vivian Cyphers with Nikki; Ed and Rose Clark with Pokey; Mary Warner with Spanky; Kathy Harvey with Ruth; and Del Greening with Taffy.
